If you want local flavor this little dive fits the delish bill perfectly! The biscuits are devine, the bacon is crisp, and the coffee is strong! Order the bacon waffle and you'll thank me! Service is friendly and quick and the butter is served plentiful and whipped. You could choose any pancake joint on the strip but this needs to be the first one!

I visited here this morning with my family for breakfast. It came highly recommended, however, sadly, it didn't live up to expectations. Our waitress was friendly, but when my chocolate chip pancakes arrived, they were lukewarm. They were tasty, but they would have been a lot better had they been hot. They sold some Smoky Mountain trinkets, which was a nice touch, but again, hot pancakes would have improved my experience.

After holding the door open for a lady she quickly took out her keys and locked it before me and my family could enter. Other folks entered the other unlocked door at same time. one of the rudest things I've had happened to me in a while. I knocked and asked why she locked the door on us she said "we close at two". She could have politely mentioned that before she locked the door on us. Even though it was 10 minutes till 2pm that's fine - it was just locking the door on us without saying anything as were all obviously approaching the door was very rude. Needless to say we didn't get a chance to eat.

I had some great Walnut Pancakes for breakfast here. This restaurant is old-school, what someone like me who is from the North but remembers travelling through this part of the world 20 years ago expects from Pigeon Forge. Staff was very nice, portions were BIG. Prices were a little higher than I had expected they would be, but based on the portions we got they were totally justified. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meals. Entire place was perfectly clean, including the men's room, which was super old-fashioned and small. I did a double take when I walked in, because there was no urinal, but there were two stalls -- I thought I had mistakenly walked into the ladies room! I will definitely visit here again if I am ever lucky enough to return to the area.

Holy wow! Our family of 6 has never cleared every plate, until now! Greeted immediately, seated within 90 seconds, the waitress (I say that with respect, because Barbara was the epitome of a 'small town' server) took our drink orders in less than a minute, returned with our drinks, took our orders and our food was served 5 minutes later. The menu was outstanding! So many choices! We went at 11:30am for breakfast & ordered Pancake Royale, Caribbean Pancakes, White Chocolate Pancakes and Sausage & Cheese omelet w/3 pancakes, also 2 eggs & 4 strips of bacon. Nothing was left beside a couple scoops of whipped butter!

My family had breakfast there this morning. The food was excellent. I had the pancakes Royale and I could only eat about half of it. It was so yummy and so filling. My husband had the blackberry crepes & he said they were very good. My oldest son had the blueberry pancakes and he said they were great (this coming from a kid that's not a "breakfast person). My picky youngest son had the western omelet and said it was good. The only complaint (& this is a minor complaint) is that the waitress could've been friendlier.

Great local breakfast diner. I have to say, our waitress gets the award for the nicest person I've ever met! The other wait staff was overly nice as well. Not a lot of frills in the decor, but the food speaks for itself. Home made biscuits and gravy for me....Tasted like momma made 'em. Cheaper than Cracker Barrel and the food is better!

We are on honeymoon for 3 days and try different things. We love western omelet and crepes (we try blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries) Highly recommend ! Good breakfast !

This is a must stop for breakfast on every trip. The wait staff makes this place. Always friendly and make you feel comfortable. Food is great.

One of the best pancake houses in the area. It is my mom's favorite. Quick service & plenty of hot, good food. I like the Country Ham & Egg breakfast.

Serves a decent country breakfast, similar to Cracker Barrel but with more character. I ordered two eggs sunny-side up, two sausage patties, two biscuits, and sausage gravy. Everything was cooked to order. I was a little disappointed that the gravy was completely under-seasoned (if not unseasoned), there were salt and pepper at hand so easily fixed. Staff for the most part was very friendly, but their waiting system was very unusual. No names were taken, only the number in your party. Everyone waits outside in a line and the hostess comes out and literally yells the number of seats open on the most recently emptied table. While it definitely favors smaller groups, the line moved fast and there was never an empty table for more than a minute at a time. Annoying as it was for my party of 6 to have to wait longer than everyone else, it was ruthlessly efficient. I would definitely recommend the one in the heart of Gatlinburg over this location simply for a far nicer atmosphere and EXACTLY THE SAME FOOD. Yes, the menu looks a little different, but everything is still there. Yes, it's a bit more of a drive (depending on where you're at), but I think it's worth it for the elbow room.

Went to grab breakfast after seeing the high reviews about this place on yelp. There were alot of people in the store when we went in around 10:30 on a Monday so it is a good sign. We ordered the blueberry pancakes and strawberry crepes. The pancakes were good but we were disappointed with the blueberries... they were in season but the one on the pancake were NOT fresh... and the blueberry sauce that came with it taste like blue sugar gel, very artifical. The strawberry crepes were dry, like it comes from a package instead of freshly made. The strawberry syrup that smothered and filled it were not fresh either... it tasted artificial as well... However, the eggs that came on the side were amazing! I asked for medium eggs, which hard to make sometime, they gave me perfect medium cooked eggs with creamy running yolk. For those eggs, I gotta give them 2 more stars. The waitress was nice and attentive even though she had so many tables to wait on. One more star there. Overall, it is an okay place to go. Nothing special, nothing too bad either. Could work on using fresher ingredients.

This was a very good breakfast with very good service. I had the ham biscuit breakfast with a pancake on the side as an extra. It was delicious! Will definitely be returning on our next visit. It was very busy, but it was labor day, so that was to be expected.

Had there ham n cheese omelet and pancakes, was delicious, fast and reasonable. Love coming here when I come to town.

I've been coming here to eat in vacation since I was a kid, 25 years later its still the best around. Great prices, great food, and amazing service. FYI - you won't need coffee if you get the sweet tea.... It's sweet!!

  • Tom B.

Fast seating Great food and very friendly service. The pancakes are golden brown and very light. The maple syrup they give you is warm and fresh. Not the fanciest place, but great food nonetheless. The service was super fast

This review is from 2/19/2012. Nice environment. Service staff was incredibly nice. I had Spicy Apple French Toast, which was very tasty. My lady had French Toast Royale, which is just... amazing. You must try it! Follow-up review, 5/25/2014. Due to the wonderful experience we had the last time we were in Pigeon Forge, we decided to go back to the Log Cabin for breakfast. I had the Pigs in a Blanket and the wife had Continental French Toast. Once again, the food was incredible, the prices were reasonable, and the staff were hospitable. I will visit this spot every time I visit Pigeon Forge in the future.

Been eating here since I was a little boy. Love the food here, especially the all you can eat biscuits & gravy for just under $7.

Very friendly staff. Got there 15 minutes til they closed and was treated like they just opened. Great service. Food was excellent and the atmosphere looked like a typical small family run diner. Ordered the western omelet and pancakes royal. Both dishes were excellent. Pancakes nice and fluffy. Would definitely return.

We stopped in the Log Cabin on our second-to-last day up in Pigeon Forge while searching for a new go-to breakfast place. It's located right off the exit from Gatlinburg into Pigeon Forge. Our service was excellent - our waitress was friendly and very genuine. The restaurant is fairly small, but they have got tables that can seat large groups. I got the chocolate chip pancakes, which were fluffy and delicious. The bacon was also crispy and flavorful. My only complaint is that the coffee was a little weak - but I usually like strong coffee, so that may be no fault of theirs! They also have a breakfast buffet on Sundays, which they're apparently planning to open everyday after this coming Easter. This is definitely our new go-to place for breakfast! Friendly service and inexpensive, delicious food. What more can you ask for?

I can't compare this to the other 700 pancake houses BUT this one had really really awesome service and a great selection of pancakes/breakfast foods all well prepared.

We stopped in for a quick breakfast on our way out of Pigeon Forge. The atmosphere is very homey and the wait staff is super friendly. Such an awesome group of sweet ladies!! I ordered the waitress' (GayNell) favorite pancake, the buckwheat. Along with that I got a bacon omelette and a side of biscuits and gravy. The pancakes were melt in your mouth good. A perfect southern buckwheat pancake is one of my favorite things I grew up eating in Tennessee. The bacon was crispy and perfect. The eggs weren't super fluffy but were fried to perfection. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the sausage gravy was a little bland. Normally I don't have to put salt and pepper on them...but these needed it. Overall an awesome experience and next time we come to town this will be our breakfast spot.

  • Bryan L.

Friendly staff. The food was OK at best, with reasonable prices. Not a "regrettable" place to eat,but definitely will try another pancake house the next time we visit

  • Karen S.

Best place in Gatlinburg for breakfast! Their strawberry crepes are to die for!!!

    (5)
  • Cara A.

Biscuits had no flavor. Hash browns looked and tasted like they were frozen patties chopped up. Gravy was tasteless. Redeeming quality was the waitress. She was very nice. Hostess however looked like she could bite someone's head off and didn't crack a smile.

  • Melissa G.

My family and I ate here on vacation after seeing the great reviews. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. My crepes were overcooked and the rest of the meal was marginal. When I told the waitress, she didn't even make a slight adjustment to the bill. We completely overpaid for a below average breakfast. No southern hospitality here. The restaurant by our house has better food.

  • Jen M.

OMG like eating in grandma's basement for a family reunion. I haven't seen banquet-style chairs and tables like that in years. Food is decent, not great. Omelets are filled with a weird, cheap cheese-like sauce. Skip it. Pancakes are fluffy and yummy.

  • Dan B.

You're life isn't complete until you've had the Pancake Royale. And our waitress, Ginger, was the sweetest and most perky waitress I've ever seen. Kids and while family loved it. I loved that because I've been coming here since I was a kid.

  • Blake J.

Stopped by here while on vacation. Very good breakfast!! Definitely try the Royale Sauce!!

  • Chuck S.

Amazing breakfast. Had the Pancakes obviously and they melted in your mouth. The place was like an old folks home but there is not denying the quality and service. The prices were reasonable also. I was told this was the best place to get Flapjacks out of the hundreds of places in town. I wasn't disappointed.

Apple crepes were what I would expect. Nothing more, nothing less. Nice waitress.

We came here as our last stop before leaving pigeon forge. We ordered breakfast food, choc chip pancakes, sausage, eggs, hash browns, and biscuits between the 2 of us. The sausage was rancid, the biscuits were soggy, and the hash was mush. We took 2 bites and told the waitress and manager we didn't want this food and were leaving. The manager (who the waitress called 'mama') called the police because we refused to pay for food we didn't eat.

  • Ezhil K.

We stopped by here for breakfast and the food was simply outstanding. The pancakes were excellent and the poached eggs were done the way they should be. The service was fast and really friendly. Definitely a place to stop by when you want some good food at Gatlinburg.

    (5)
  • Brooke M.

The atmosphere is a little cafeteria like, however the food was some of the best breakfast food I've ever had. The coffee was good, the bacon and eggs were cooked perfectly and the pancakes... Oh boy, those pancakes were amazing! The service was excellent as well as the price. Don't let the atmosphere turn you off from the best breakfast place in pigeon forge!

    (4)
  • George S.

The all you can eat biscuits and gravy were amazing. The service is always pleasant and the restaurant is clean. I don't really eat pancakes so I can't say how they are. I've been a big biscuit and gravy person my entire life and every time I visit, this place never disappoints on that. It's like $6-7 and it's all you can eat. You can't beat that. The only downside to this special is, after eating so many biscuits and gravy, you just want to go back to the room and take a nap. If that's really a downside, you're probably on vacation so what's wrong with a nap?

Morning came early. The sun was bright but unseen in the silvery blue sky. We descended from our cabin in the hills to the main artery that is the pulse of Pigeon Forge. It was Dolly's turf (she was born just up the road in Sevierville), but it was hard to imagine her growing up in this area as there was something inherently missing, but what it was was hard to put a finger. It was something beneath the substrate, as if one of the logarithms were missing a number and was causing everyone's heads to be held at a slant. Their gazes were not focused on anything more than three feet in front of them, a result from standing in long lines at the buffet tables and eating from the trough that knew no bottom for $7.99. Despite this amazingly low offer, their faces appeared somewhat confused, their smiles lost in the shuffle from the van to the all-you-can-eat biscuits and gravy. Last night's wine bottles drained the energy from me and this morning's whisky was wearing off. After passing the tattoo parlor and the gas station, the Log Cabin Pancake House was the first visible sign of life. We entered and parked our asses in the first three booths on the left. Pam brought hot coffee and laminated menus that were wiped clean with a warm rag - I could still feel the wet fingerprints sliding around on the plastic from the last holder. There were the usual pancake house selections on the menu: Lots of egg variations... lots of pancakes and bacon... waffles with nuts for the healthier eater. The coffee came around for refills after only a few brief moments. Pam was great and showed us a good time. Our orders landed on our tables with a whiz and a bang. Plates were steaming and promised the nourishment we craved. Pancakes arrived in stacks with hot butter and syrup on the side. The bacon was crisp with a little bit of yesterday's cooking oil on the back palate. I cleaned my plate and washed it down with an eighth cup of coffee. It was what was needed before a peaceful walk through the hazy clouds of the Great Smoky Mountains.

Just as good a breakfast as a bob evans but with friendly service, excellent coffee and a home cooked feel. Definitely your mom and dad's breakfast diner.

  • Amy R.

I was a bit disappointed after all the wonderful reviews. The restaurant has the feel of a mix between a diner and banquet hall, but you are in and out quickly. Breakfast was just "okay". The waitress was efficient and friendly. With so many other choices for breakfast, we will probably not be back.

  • Christopher S.

We eat here every time we are in Pigeon Forge [3 to 4 times a year] and this is the first time it was not 5 star. This time we had a large group so that may account for some of the loss of quality. Service was excellent and everyone who got pancakes loved them. The French Toast was not up to their usual standards. While not the best we have had here, we are not taking it off our list of places to eat while visiting. I would still recommend eating here...

Simple, rustic and like your grandmas house. Sweet ladies serving you yummy pancakes and more. I have not eaten at any other pancake places in pigeon forge but I would come back here again.

I was really pleased with the food and the service! The coffee was above average. The pancakes were delicious (we got corn meal and buttermilk). Overall a good experience and I would definitely dine there again.

Banana pancakes royale!! Fluffy sweet heavenly pancakes. Busy little authentic pancake house. Wonderful service and prices are reasonable. Loved it.

This place is just perfect. If there's breakfast in heaven, it's like it is here. It's a very authentic and local breakfast joint that serves up some good ol' Southern Hospitality along with some amazing breakfast fare. Their pancake and crepe selection is the best I've seen anywhere. If you're looking for the best breakfast in the area, look no further.. THIS IS IT. A homey oasis amid all the commercial lures of the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

If you want the best pancakes you've ever tasted definitely stop on by here. The cornmeal pancakes are like cornbread in a pancake. The buttermilk chocolate chip melt in your mouth. Service is quick. The restaurant itself is like your granny's kitchen. Very cozy.

Good homemade buffets $10 per person. They ranged from salad, pork, mashed potatoes, chicken dumplings, gravy, peach cobbler, biscuits! Good deal!

Went here for breakfast. I had the blueberry pancakes and my son had the buttermilk. They were both good. The blueberry syrup, which is more like a compote, was very good. The best part was the service. They were friendly and attentive. All the servers were adult women. No young kids just trying to get your tip. I recommend it for breakfast.

  • Jasmyn D.

This was a great breakfast experience for our family. Though it was very crowded, we were seated within 5 minutes of our arrival. The food was delicious. I had the blueberry pancakes - fluffy, full of fresh blueberries, and not too sweet. I meant to take a picture...but they were all but gone before I remembered. I highly recommend eating here while in Pigeon Forge.

We stopped in for a late breakfast. Service was good. The food came out quickly. It was very homey feeling inside. The food was a little pricey but pretty good. They are very generous with the powdered sugar and margarine.

Just your average diner breakfast, can get the same thing at denny's. Service was quick and friendly and we got there before the crowd. When we left at 920am there was a long line out the door, i would not recommend waiting in line for this food. I had the french toast royale- sauce was too sweet. Bacon was my favorite part of the meal. Tried my husbands pancake- not the best.

Love this place. Have been going there on every vacation for 30+ yrs. A lot of the same staff still working there as when we started. Great pancakes and coffee. Good service. Restrooms not so great. Other than the restroom I can think of nothing bad to say about this place. Look forward to eating there every time we come.

The food was great and everything came out the way we ordered it. One of us ordered the bacon extra crispy and it came out perfect. The service was awesome and if you want to make sure you start your day off with a smile, ask for Barbara.

This place is everything it needs to be.. Good food, good service, and fast. We ate breakfast here both mornings that we were in town and will eat here on future trips! (Try the chocolate chip pancakes with pecans or walnuts - tastes like a candy bar!)

  • Mickey D.

Went here on our last night before we left. Portions were fantastic and the food was great. Servers never left you feeling like you were alone but werent overbearing. If you pass all the other pancake houses stop at this one and enjoy some fresh breakfast. Only downside was the age of the place needed some refreshing and the bathrooms were bizarre.
